New from Raleigh, NC
Hi,
Marc here from Raleigh, North Carolina. I just joined after seeing references to this forum from the 1911Forum. I've been shooting since being trained on DCM rifles by my coach / Biology teacher Gunther Kolb in high school in the 1960s. We learned in the basement of Evanston (Illinois) High School where we had our own range. Mr. Kolb taught us safety, technique and responsibility. I am indebted to him. Evanston is now one of the most anti 2nd amendment geographies in the USA. Glad I left 40 years ago. I am now a NRA certified Rifle, Pistol, Reloading and Refuse to be a Victim instructor, as well as a North Carolina certified Concealed Carry Handgun instructor. I teach on a volunteer team at the Sir Walter Gun Club in Creedmoor, NC. I'm interested in military handguns and rifles of the late 19th and 20th century, and particularly US and German firearms. My grandfather was a machinist, and I think there is enough of that blood in me to eventually carry me into gunsmith work. Marc
