Default Sig 1911 Ultra

I just wanted to keep the Sig portion on this forum alive! Some of us own Sig pistols! This is a Sig 1911 45 Ultra and a Sig P238. Both are wearing custom grips in Walnut with double diamonds from Altamont Grips.

Nice Sig's!

I really like my Sig Carry, and I do carry it. I think these are under-appreciated pistols!

I'm also interested in the P238 as a BUG/ultra-copncealable. How does it shoot?

My LGS had a Sig with the Navy symbol on it. It had a threaded barrel and weighed a ton. They also had the Army version, no threaded barrel and it was done up in green camo and weighed a lot less. Forget what the designation is. There were only 1500 allowed to be sold to civilians on the Navy model. I think the Navy model was all stainless steel then finished in a black coating. I believe they were made for the SEALS.

The P238 has 800 rounds, both FMJ and Federal Hydra-shok. It shoots great, no recoil and even with my large hands easy to control. I only shoot it at 7 and 15 yards...both are POA/POI. No point in shooting a .380 at 25 yards.

The 1911 has 515 rounds, again both FMJ (varityof stuff, even WWB) and two different JHP (Federal Hydra-shok 230 JHP and H.P.R 230 JHP) Early one I had "premature" slide lock, due to the nub on the slide lock lever being a tad too long, and I could have done the work, but Sig did it for free. I commented to them that I don't reload anymore, but noticed my brass was dinged. They lowered the ejection port and tuned the extractor.

I liked the checkered grip panels I had custom ordered for the P238, so when I got the Sig 1911 Two Tone, I asked them to make them as well.

I have placed both of these as my EDCs. All others have been placed into Range Gun status. (Except my DW VBOB...1 year old and still NIB)
