I hate debit cards
Ordered a Lyman tumbler, 5 pounds of walnut media, set of powder scoops, and a large/small primer pocket cleaner..rounded up to the whole dollar for the NRA..all at Midway. Good prices. Went to check out..denied. Forgot I paid bills online today, and the 500 dollar a day limit kicked in. Have to resubmit tomorrow..however, I learned from previous marriages to not keep credit cards, so I reckon I'm ahead of the game.

Hmmm, my NFCU debit card does not do that. Only limit is on ATM transactions, otherwise it acts just like a credit card.

Our FI limit is $1,000 per day on weekdays and $2,000 per day on weekends. Ask them to raise your limit. If they want to keep you as a customer, they'll do it. They keep limits that low to protect themselves against fraud. However, if fraud is committed on your debit card, you're only liable for up to $50 per Regulation E...that's as long as you report the fraud within 60 days.
