Default 3 x 4 = 11

At least that is what kids will be taught under the new "everyone is right" policy of public education. Video at link:

"If you said 11 — or, hell, if you said 7, pi, or infinity squared — that’s just fine under the Common Core, the new national curriculum that the Obama administration will impose on American public school students this fall.

In a pretty amazing YouTube video, Amanda August, a curriculum coordinator in a suburb of Chicago called Grayslake, explains that getting the right answer in math just doesn’t matter as long as kids can explain the necessarily faulty reasoning they used to get to that wrong answer."

Thumbs down

That I the craziest piece of BS reasoning I've ever heard.

No more Christmas Pageants, Halloween and now reasoning out an incorrect answer. I'm glad my kid finished school a long time ago.

The biggest pain in the a** you'll probably ever have to deal with watches you from the mirror every morning.

Good judgment comes from experience, and most of that comes from bad judgment.

If you find yourself in a hole, the first thing to do is stop digging.

we're turning out idiot kids that can never finish college. heck, if at age 18 or 21, they said 3X4=11, they'd be employed as ditch diggers. The whole concept is just plain scary. When the hell is this going to end?

We've been turning out kids for years that can't fill out a job application or complete a 1040EZ. Now we're going to turn out kids who will be PROUD THAT THEY'RE WRONG.

If this hits my g-kids schools, I'm going to be "up in there".

My kids had essay questions on math tests in high school. It was required by the state!

Where in the hell is this coming from???? Could it be that there is a whole lot of uneducated black people and we are supposed to be on the same level as them, or bring them up to us because there is no wrong answer. We are looking at social decay at the highest level, our future looks pretty grim
