I saw that second one (Detroit) last night and thought it was interesting that she chased them away with an inexpensive Hi-Point rifle.

The cheap Hi-Point you can afford beats a sharp stick any day!

Cheap Hi-Point? According to the newscast it was an "assault rifle"...

Don't that little Hi Point carbine is supposed to be a pretty cool little gun. Comes in 9, 40, 45. Made in USA. Not an AR but could be a good truck gun. $300

I've been looking for one in 45ACP for the better part of year now.

I have one in 9mm. Haven't shot it in years.

I bought it for a coyote gun. I have a few boxes of Gold Dot 115gr +P+ for it. I won't shoot that stuff in my 9mm pistols!

What can I say? The rifle works, but it has a nasty plastic trigger.

Here in Konnectikut, the Hipoint carbine IS an assault gun. Go figure. That said, it was a $249 stamped steel, plastic stocked, plastic trigger FUN PUPPY to shoot. I have it in 9mm. It is reliable, and did I say fun? People give me grief (well the AR and AK purists anyway) over a sub $300 carbine, some even call it a POS.

Welllllll..... if its that bad a gun.... why isn't mine for sale? Or why are there so few being sold on the resale market? Could be the lifetime warranty? Or it could be the poor working family's "volkswagon"version of a Colt M4.

In any case... thanks for mentioning it. Its been put aside in the back of the safe for far too long.... I'm going to shoot it next week.

Da

We need to see more of these stories on national news. Not betting on it though.

Great job ladies, only one suggestion ...

You need some more range time, so the next time, you can hit the center mass of those little slimeballs!
