Default Went over to the dark side!

OK, I had to have something tacticool, so I got a "Bump In The Night Carbine"

P2X Fury mounted using a 1" scope ring. 1.5-4.5 Shotgun scope, which can be used at very close range.

The gun? Anyone want to guess???

.45

It develops over 1000 fps with standard 230 grain hardball ammo, but is much quieter than a handgun. It's got more recoil than I expected, I guess from the increased muzzle velocity.

Nice pick up. I need to buy another one. I sold my last one years ago.

I'll bet it does. I have the 9mm version. It doesn't have much recoil, but it vibrates enough to make your cheek sting.

As much as people dog on Hi Point for one reason or another (myself included) I did see at a local gunsmith friend of mine a Hi Point 9mm carbine that as the owner said "wouldn't get one paper" He put about half a magazine and couldn't figure out where the bullets where going. After some prying he mentioned something about how one round didn't eject and "felt " we started to take a look, and found 8 bullets logged in the barrel. Basically stacked farther and farther down the thing with distinctive bulges for each bullet. Pretty sure most other guns would have completely detonated! Oddly enough the guy never came back for his carbine after we told him what was up.

Might be ugly but at least they don't blow up ever!

"As much people dog on HiPoint" ( I loved that phrase, so I used it too).... you never seem to see one for sale on the used market. Hmmmm.... why not? Because for the $249 that my 9mm Carbine cost me, once I threw a red dot on it, the gun became one of the most fun tacticool toys I have.

While it's not billet aluminum, and it's not space age polymer.... its actually plastic and stamped steel.... but the thing shoots every time. And if it doesn't.... there's that pesky little lifetime warranty that they actually honor.

It's not going to replace my AR, and its not a build quality like a DW or a Sig.... but man.... I like my HiPoint! (Nope, its not for sale!)
