Is that an extractor or ejector issue?
My first range trip with the Escort I experienced 15 out of 100 rounds, the brass smacked my forehead. Will it work itself out or should I tune one of the above?

Without having a gunsmithing backround except home made I would say its an Extractor issue. They can be tuned though. My first STI had some throwing issues, used a youtube video to help me out....

Maybe it's reminding you you could have had a V-8?
Mine tosses brass into my hair!

I'm a little disappointed that not a single person has recommended you leave it so it knocks a little sense into you.
![]() My Px4 would do this on occasion when I first got it but it cleared up after a few hundred rounds.

Did you lube it with the oil provided by DW? I made the mistake of using Slide Glide on my Guardian when I first shot it because that is what I use on my other 1911's. I learned that it was too thick for break in because I had the same symptom as yours. As soon as I replaced the Slide Glide with the DW oil the problem disappeared.
