Default Killer deal V-Bob

http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/Vie...Item=430111953

I just saw this, looks like a sweet deal. If I didn't have a Valor, CCO and Brown, I'd jump. Hopefully, one of ours needs one.

Keep an eye on it...I'll be there are "shill" bids on it that will drive the price up to normal once people start to bid on it. It's a bs move to attract people. See it on Ebay all the time.

Thanks for the heads up. I sold a Smith & Wesson Sport yesterday, and am looking for a suitable "investment" to roll over the dough before my wife thinks of something better to do with it. Was thinking a Mini14; but, I will bid on this V-Bob. Hoping for a steal. If the price gets anywhere near regular retail I'll pass.

I just registered with GunBroker. Never bid there before. Any pitfalls or gotchas to watch for?

Regards,

Read the seller's feedback carefully, check if he has FFL, look up the business if he does. Ask questions if any doubt and be careful falling in love with anything, that's how auction prices skyrocket. That's about all I know, I've bought a few things, last one was a low feedback guy with DW CCO and it was a little exaggerated. I contacted the guy, very factual, no emotion and he did the right thing.

I generally stay away from gunbroker unless it is a NIB gun from a high number count seller...OR....a simple gun like an older Springfield 1911, which I usually capture for average $525.00.

If it's too good to be true it is....That gun will go for $1600-$1700, or more...It's already near $1300...There are NO steals, only attractive pricing to get your attention before the price escalates.

Yep, I see that. That being the case, I think I'll stick with my local LGS; rather give them the business. Unless, as you point out, its an older gun for a reasonable price. Thanks.

Normally that VBob will sell in the $1700-1750 area...
Use 'BUDs' as a GOOD pricing guide... he has it for $1715... but you can 'Make him an Offer'... try $1650!
If you want that Black Duty Finish, $1650-1700 would be a good price! Anything lower than that is a 'real good deal'!
Good luck and happy hunting!
