I am not sure if this is the right place for this. My apologies if it is in the wrong section.
Long story short, I have some money to spend from the sale of a S&W Sport, and a penny here-and-there I have put away for such purposes. I intended to purchase a DW V-Bob Blem from a local LGS at a substantially reduced price. Sadly, it sold before I put all the money together. Do not know when/if such will turn up again. As a fall back plan, I am considering a Wiley Clapp Colt Commander or a DW Guardian (.45 bobtail). I've researched these pistols, they are both commanders, both alum frame, both are reported to be reliable. I am leaning towards the Guardian as I prefer no front slide serrations. Intended use is range/fun, but may eventually be carried. Reliability is a must. Anyone have experience with either or both of these? Opinions good and bad? Thanks! My DW Guardian (.45) is rock solid. It's my favorite carry gun.

Colt is a good pistol, but they are not the Colt of old. I'd go with the Wesson, as their quality and attention to detail is getting into the realm of semi customs like Baer, Wilson and Nighthawk. They ain't quite to that level, but are substantially better than production guns

Appreciate the knowledgeable comments/advise so far. I am leaning strongly towards the Guardian. Will do a bit more research, and might go haggle for it in the next couple of weeks.
