Default Tube feed 22 remmington 550 vs 552

Hello all,
I am looking to purchase a tube feed semi 22. Can anyone chime in on what would be a better gun? A lgs has a very clean 550-1 for $260 a lot less than I can get a new 552 speedmaster for.
Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving to all

Never had or shot the Remi but, I had a Marlin 60 and it was very reliable.

I had a Rem S/A many years ago. It worked like a charm. A new 6550 597 goes for $175.

I've got a Remington 572 fieldmaster that's a real tack driver, that my dad's nylon 66 and my great grandfather's model 34 are the only Remington tube feeds I've ever shot or owned but they're all great.

also can't beat an older marlin model 60.

My mom has a Nylon 66. It's a great gun.
