Default One of my former Sgt's tried to shoot me

The snub nose is loaded, the gun goes off. Not for the feint of heart or those who aren't sure of themselves in disarming others.

That's the thing about this type of training. We see it in the defensive edged weapons courses where student will perform the manual dexterity and espada y daga drills with trainers but refuse to do so with their live blade.

If you're not confident enough to play with the real deal and get accustomed to the risks involved in saving your arse, you may just not commit to the move even though you've done it millions of times in practice with a training gun.

It's not for the feint of heart, but it does give one more confidence it can be done in the wild and not just a training environ

While I am not trying to start an argument and I DO respect your opinion and experience you can train to what works but I still think its a risk vs. reward thing and risk is way to high. To think only training with a loaded gun is better than empty is just risky.

I don't mean to be an ass toward you or how you do things just not my stile so no offense intended.

I just think you all are nuts

I've done that drill with blanks. The noise is still enough to shake you up. Live ammo?

Waiter! Check please!

Just read the OP's second post. WOW

Sorry, I'd say that drill was "Sofa king we Todd did".

Playing with your life isn't very smart, but you're the trainer, train on!
