Default New here today!

I was an old Harley guy in the 70's thus the JockeyShifter username, lol!

I am a cnc programmer and machinist as well a a dedicated Colt guy. My preference is a Colt Lightweight Commander, five of them live at my home with me. I bought a DW a while back but prefer the Lightweights for daily carry. I'm from Georgia so Open carry is what I usually do unless I need the element of surprise then I CC.
I work on my guns, bobtails, slide polishing to a very high finish,. I make 1911 grips as well.

Some of my grips can be seen at my website http://www.sgmgrips.com
My personal work website is http://www.microsystemsgeorgia.com

This is a great site, I really love and appreciate the DIY forums, we all love guns and working on them is just going to happen.

I look forward to many good days on COTEP!
Thanks,
Michael

Really nice grips! Those are some interesting parts on the other page. Are the orange parts prototypes of something?

Welcome aboard Michael!

When I started college back in the late 70's I was going to be a CAD/CAM engineer - not sure what happened, but it's still a field that interests me. I've actually looked at some of the "do it yourself" CNC machines that folks have built.

Stick around and enjoy the assylum!

Lane

I'm not sure which page you are looking at but I do make prototypes.
