Edgehill, sorry for their troubles, but it sure does the heart good when people come together like that.
I was on a Red Cross Disaster Action team in Jackson, and I can tell you story after story about how Mississippians take care of each other, even in Jackson. People would just show up out of nowhere and take care of things. Our job was often reduced to picking up food and coffee from the businesses donating it and distributing it to the crowds of volunteers out doing all the real relief work. No matter where I reside, Mississippi will always be home.
