Thanks, I did a quick search before revealing my ignorance and found military uniforms too but didn't understand the context. Still so much to learn in life!

In 66 when I entered the Corps, some of the really "OLD salts" still had the herringbone style utilities (fatigues to Army types). Technically they were "retired" but they didn't give true "Old Corps" types grief, just "boots" who somehow acquired a set to look "Salty".
