Thanks for posting. I have used 5.56 and either a Mini 14 or Kel Tec PLR16 with a 60 round shurfire mag for home defense. I use Speer Gold Dot 55 or 64 grain JSP as it seems to penetrate least.
Two stories: I handled a case once for a client who was sleeping in a hotel peacefully. Couple rooms over a guy was playing with his Glock 19 before he went to bed and fired a 135 grain Corbon round. It went thru 3 walls (6 sheets of drywall) and my guy's left arm and dropped on the bed next to his heart. The bullet had no deformation and looked like it could be reloaded. Next and ![]() When they arrived home, he had broken into their home and was in the bathroom with a drywall repair kit and paint , trying to get it patched and painted before they got home. Must have been a nerve wracking trip to Home Depot. |
