Lessons learnt the hard way
So I have spent the better part of this morning picking corn cob media out of the primer pocket on some freshly cleaned brass.
Why you ask? Well i thought that by cleaning the brass with the old primers out would aid in the cleaning of the pocket, "WRONG" all it has done is make more work for myself. |

That's why I decap first with a universal decapping die, then tumble and THEN size. The only purpose the decapping rod on the sizing die serves is knocking out the corn cob stuck in the flash holes.
